Real Blog Format & Another Piece of the 3D Printing Puzzle

After much contemplation, I have decided to use this web-space as more then a simple portfolio hub. I realized it would be a great place to make posts about the Meshcloud studio. That way we can give our fans an inside view on the happenings of the Meshcloud 3D Printed Brand. Not just pretty pictures, but the inside story.

After a long struggle, we recently got the TAZ 4 3D printer up and running. It is a HUGE 3D printer. The key was in switching to Simplify 3D as the slicing software. This is a very important piece of the puzzle, since the slicer is what creates the instructions for the 3D printer to follow. As the saying goes, machines and robots will only do what you tell them. In this case, the instructions are far superior and so are the results. It now creates stunning prints and is much bigger than our other printers. This means many exciting things are about to happen.

Here we are printing all four coasters at once to fulfill an amazon order. Before on the makerbot, we could fit two coasters at once for a reliable print. Now we can make them all at once! With a lot of cool designs in progress, stay tuned for updates on new HUGE prints. We have another piece of the puzzle in place, and can’t wait to make our next creative visions appear.
